Description
1925-S $1 MS65 NGC. The 1925-S is surprisingly rare in MS65 grade. Indeed, David Bowers, in his Silver Dollars and Trade Dollars of the U.S., writes: "It and the 1928-S are the two toughest varieties to find in this grade (MS65) in the entire Peace dollar series."
The present Gem displays a trace of light gold color on the right reverse, along with vibrant luster throughout. The design elements are sharply struck, and the surfaces are generally well preserved. Just a few tiny, unobtrusive marks are noted on Liberty's jaw and on the eagle. Census: 55 in 65, 0 finer (7/08).(Registry values: N4719) (#7366)
