Super Bowl XLV suite brings $160,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters, topping Heritage Auctions’ lineup of Big Game charity offerings

Super Bowl meet and greet with Emmitt Smith realizes $9,000 for Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities; Taste of the NFL lots still available; All proceeds going to charity

DALLAS, TX -- After an extraordinary amount of pre-auction buzz and frenzied bidding activity, the action on a Super Bowl XLV Double Suite ended yesterday on Heritage Auctions’ website, HA.com, with a jaw-dropping final price realized of $160,000, all of which is being donated to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.

“The field level, 37-person suite was donated to the charity from Mavericks and Cowboys season ticket holder Neal Hawks, in conjunction with Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks,” said Heather Walther, Director of Business Development at Heritage, “all of whom are active in BBBS. All of us at Heritage can imagine that they must feel pretty proud of the money they raised for this great charity, and I imagine the winner is pretty happy, too, with the best seats in Cowboys Stadium.”

In addition, Heritage also auctioned off once-in-a-lifetime Super Bowl ticket packages, including a meet-and-greet with NFL Hall-of-Famer and Cowboy great Emmitt Smith, a highly popular lot, which included tickets to the game and tickets to the sold-out Super Bowl Gospel Celebration. The lot brought $9,000, with all proceeds going to benefit Pat and Emmitt Smith Charities. A pair of tickets to the big game, which included tickets to the highly popular Taste of the NFL event on Saturday night, Feb. 5, IN Ft. Worth, brought $8,000, with all proceeds going to benefit Taste of the NFL charities.

Other lots that sold benefitting the Taste of the NFL charities include a special Super Bowl MVPs signed replica NFL championship trophy, signed by 28 MVPs, which realized $2,400; an NFC Champions Green Bay Packers signed team helmet, which realized $1,800; an AFC Champions Pittsburgh Steelers signed team helmet, which brought $1,400, and a Super Bowl XLIV helmet autographed by Drew Brees, which raised $425.

Heritage Auctions, headed by Steve Ivy, Jim Halperin and Greg Rohan, is the world’s third largest auction house, with annual sales more than $600 million, and 500,000+ online bidder members.
