Peggy Gottlieb Joins Heritage Auctions As Beverly Hills Jewelry Specialist

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Heritage Auctions has announced the addition of Peggy Gottlieb to its roster of specialists. She will be working as Consignment Director in Fine Jewelry, based out of Heritage’s Beverly Hills offices.

“Heritage is one of the most dynamic auction houses in the world and I’m looking forward to adding my skills and experience to their growing jewelry department,” said Gottlieb. “As one of the company’s fastest growing departments, there’s tremendous potential for both collectors and consignors, both of whom I can’t wait to help.”

Gottlieb brings more than 20 years of professional jewelry knowledge and experience to Heritage, beginning as a Graduate Gemologist from of the Gemological Institute of America, Santa Monica, CA. She worked as a Staff gemologist at the GIA Gem Trade Laboratory, is a former Vice President and Director of Jewelry for Sotheby’s Los Angeles and a well-known and trusted independent appraiser of gems and jewelry.

“We’re thrilled to have Peggy aboard,” said Ed Beardsley, Managing Director of The Department of Fine Arts at Heritage. “She’s well known as a jewelry consultant for private clients, Trust and Estate attorneys, banks, insurance companies, museums and she has lectured extensively on the subject of gems and jewelry. That’s a tremendous amount of quality experience and we are excited at the prospect of her bringing all of it to bear on her work with Heritage.”
