Dr. Edmund P. Pillsbury, one of the world's foremost art museum professionals, has led the Yale Center for British Art; the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, London; the Kimbell Art Museum; the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art; and the Meadows Museum. He earned his Ph.D. in Italian Renaissance Art from the University of London's Courtauld Institute of Art. He has numerous affiliations with Important American institutions and has received many awards and honors.

From the very beginning, Ed Jaster seemed destined for the art business. His parents met while attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the 1940s, the same school their son would later attend. Subsequently, for some 20 years, Ed owned his own commercial art firm in Chicago, acquiring, trading, and selling world class collections of American photography, illustration art, and vintage comic books. Ed brought his vast experience and expertise in collectibles to Heritage Auctions in 2002.

Dr. Marianne Berardi is an historian of Dutch 17th-century painting and 20th-century American art. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, and served for five years as director of the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, Missouri. She co-headed the painting department at Ewolfs.com Fine Arts Auctioneers, and from 2001 to 2004 served as Director of the Cleveland Artists Foundation. She has curated many exhibitions, authored the first catalogue for the Union Club of Cleveland's collection, and has taught at numerous universities.

Dr. Douglass Brown is a research specialist and art agent, focusing on American, Russian, and British history. He participated in many important discoveries and sales of historical material reaching the American market (including art works by Gilbert Stuart, Konstantin Aivazovsky, and Mikhail Klodt, and four important American Revolutionary War flags that sold at auction for $17 million). Dr. Brown completed his studies at DeMontfort University at Leicester, England, and Kellogg College, the University of Oxford, and holds an advanced diploma in History. He has been a guest instructor in research methodologies at universities in the United States and abroad.

Courtney Case received her Master of Arts in Art History from Richmond American University in London. Prior to joining Heritage, she held an associate position at a prominent New York gallery specializing in 19th and 20th Century American Paintings and Sculpture. She also interned for a major auction house in London. Her duties at Heritage include finding new business, appraising property for sale and helping produce twice-yearly sales at Slocum Street.

Nick began his career in his native England in the late 1960's and brings forty years of experience in the antiques and fine art auction business. He emigrated to New York in 1979 and has pursued his career there as an auctioneer, appraiser, author, lecturer and antiques dealer. He is a former Department Head and auctioneer at Phillips and at Sotheby's in New York, and has organized his own auctions at several prominent auction houses including Doyle and Rago, where his annual events dedicated to the art of Lalique received great critical acclaim between 2000 and 2006. He also conceived and helped organize two of the most successful live auctions of sports memorabilia in the history of the hobby. He has held an annual exhibition and sale of Lalique glass hood ornaments at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance since 1993, and is considered this country's leading authority on the work of Rene Lalique. Nick is the author of three standard works on decorative arts which have collectively sold over 100,000 copies, together with scores of articles, and lectures widely internationally. He has been a faculty member of Parsons, the New School for Design, since 1984, and has taught Luxury Marketing at Columbia Business School and courses on English and French furniture at the Bard Graduate20Center. He first appeared as an appraiser on 'Antiques Roadshow' for PBS in the second ever broadcast of the show, and has appeared regularly ever since, discussing ceramics, glass, silver and other decorative arts.

Ariana Hartsock earned her B.A. in Art History from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and her M.A. in Modern Art, History of the Art Market, and Connoisseurship at Christie's Education in New York. Prior to joining Heritage, she held positions with two major New York auction houses as a Specialist in American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, and headed twice-yearly, record-breaking sales in the category. She began her career at prominent galleries in California, specializing in American and Early California art. She now serves at Heritage as a Consignment Director in Fine Art.

Frank Hettig's ten years of auction experience and well-regarded reputation as a curator, critic and connoisseur of contemporary art follows him to Dallas, where he serves as Director of Modern and Contemporary Paintings & Sculpture at Heritage. Trained as an art historian at the University of Amsterdam, Frank advised on exhibitions and museum catalogues and has lectured at a number of colleges and universities both in the US and overseas. At both the Goethe-Institute Internationes Los Angeles (German Cultural Institute) and the Consulate General of the Netherlands, he conceptualized and coordinated a variety of international cultural events including lectures and symposia, guest artist exhibitions and performing arts programs. As an independent art critic he contributed to museum catalogs and has written reviews and features in English, German and Dutch for publications such as Archis, Art/Text, Artforum, Bauwelt, Forum International, das Kunstwerk, Kunstforum and Metropolis, among others. Frank is also fluent in German, Dutch, French and Italian.

Meredith earned her B.A. degree in Classical Studies and Art History from Duke University in 2000, and a Masters in Modern Art, Connoisseurship, and the History of the Art Market from Christie's Education in New York in 2001. She spent the next five years in the Christie's Antiquities Department, working on numerous high profile auctions, including the Doris Duke Estate, Ancient Egyptian Art from the Harer Family Trust, and the Morven Collection of Ancient Art. Meredith joined Heritage Auction Galleries in 2007 as Senior Consignment Director in the Fine & Decorative Arts department and now also serves as the Director for the Appraisal Services department.

Tim Rigdon joined Heritage Auction Galleries in 2006, and brings a quarter century of decorative arts experience to the company. He earned his Master's in Decorative Arts History from Parson's School of Design in New York. He became a decorative arts and design dealer after a museum career including The Art Institute of Chicago, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, and the University of Minnesota Art Museum. He has established successful galleries in Birmingham, Michigan, Chicago, and Atlanta.

With a Master's Degree in Cultural Anthropology from the New School for Social Research in New York City, Delia E. Sullivan studied Primitive Art with Ted Carpenter and Shamanism with Michael Harner. She worked for 14 years at Christie's in New York City, seven of which were spent as head of the American Indian Art Department. From 2000 through 2007, Delia managed two auctions a year in that capacity, during which she significantly raised the profitability and reputation of her department.

Karen Rigdon brings a background in the decorative arts extending over a quarter century to Heritage. Kirsty Harper Buchanan did her post-graduate work in art history at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas) where she was recognized as a Meadows Artistic Scholar, a Comini Grant Recipient, and a Meadows Grant Recipient. She was part of the archaeological team that excavated the Etruscan bronze age site of Poggia Colla (Italy). Kirsty comes to Heritage having worked in various capacities for several respected fine art galleries and private art collections. She has been a guest lecturer at the Meadows Museum and the Dallas Museum of Art, and most recently co-Directed the McKaughan Private Collection of South American Art.

Mary Adair graduated summa cum laude from Davidson College and received a Mellon Fellowship in the Humanities to study art history at Yale University, where she completed her M.A. in American painting. As Curator of Johns Hopkins University's Evergreen House in Baltimore, she organized exhibitions and educational programs related to the museum's modern art collections. Before joining Heritage, she assisted with a Thomas Moran exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art, consulted for Arts & Letters Live, and lectured on art historical topics for the Meadows Museum, David Dike Fine Arts, and the Episcopal School of Dallas.

Melody Martin received her BA in Art History from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She interned with the Florence Museum of Art, Science & History in South Carolina, as well as the Spartanburg Museum of Art. She received Converse's prestigious Excellence in Art History Award, and many of her essays are part of its permanent collections. Melody has worked as an Art Advisor for a San Francisco based Paper Gallery, as well as an Art Consultant for a Dallas art gallery and art firm. Melody joined Heritage as a Cataloger for the Fine & Decorative Arts Division in 2008.
