About Heritage Auctions Careers
As the fastest growing American-based auction house, financially rock-solid Heritage Auctions continues to grow and seek the best talent in the industry. If you are a specialist or have strong general collectibles knowledge, we want to hear from you. These specialists will, in some cases, head new departments and in others will enhance existing department expertise. We have positions open at our headquarters in Dallas as well as at our new state-of-the-art galleries in prime locations in both Midtown Manhattan and Beverly Hills.
We believe Heritage's business model of transparency and respect for our bidders' time is the wave of the future, as clients are discovering us in record numbers (read our Mission and Values statement here). Heritage has remained profitable throughout the course of our more than three decades in business, building successively on each preceding year. Our sales volume has consistently matched or exceeded that of the previous year, even as other major auction houses have reported sales decreases as large as 60%.
Heritage is seeking to hire the world's best specialists in the following categories:
- General Manager: Chicago
- General Manager: W. Palm Beach
- Trust & Estates Specialist
- Wine Consignment Director
These are top, high profile positions; we are seeking ambitious candidates who will bring their excellent reputation, business ethics, strong work ethic, organizational skills, and knowledge to represent Heritage in the best light. Preferred candidates will have more than 5 years in a major auction house environment, or experience as a commercial dealer (a combination of both would be ideal). Writing and public speaking talents and skills are a plus. Job duties will include obtaining consignments; supervising the vetting of condition; authentication of properties consigned; reviewing inquiries; proofing of cataloging, essays, and advertising copy; marketing specific objects to important clients, and supervising two or more auctions per year with full bottom-line responsibility in the case of department heads.
We are also seeking to fill the following corporate positions:
Animation Art Specialist
Heritage Auctions is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Animation Art Specialist. This position assists with processing consignments of auction, building relationships with bidders and consignors, and providing specialist opinion for evaluating, authenticating, and cataloging of properties consigned for online and catalog display.
Comics Operations Assistant
Heritage Auctions is searching for an Operations Assistant with extreme attention to detail to help with the presentation of items in our Comics Department.
Linux Systems Administrator
Heritage Auctions is looking for a highly motivated Linux Systems Administrator with general networking experience who would like exposure to cutting edge technologies in a highly available, agile environment.
Print Press Assistant
Heritage Auctions is looking for an enthusiastic out of the box thinker experienced as a Print Press Assistant. We are looking for a goal oriented colleague to assist with production of auction and company-related print collateral.
Heritage Auctions is looking for a motivated, detail oriented individual to form part of our Shipping Department. We are looking for a Shipping Associate to help with shipping, receiving, delivering, and picking up local and long distance consignments. Candidates must have a valid Driver's License.
If you love World and Ancient Coins and have exceptional writing skills, we have an opening for a Cataloger. We are seeking a part-time intern in our Dallas office to be a member of our World and Ancient Coin Department. Responsibilities include researching, writing, and sorting coins for our auctions. This position offers a flexible schedule.
