With years of experience working in the luxury accessories market before joining Heritage Auctions, Cristy DuRoss put a potential career as a lawyer on hold to pursue her interest in fashion and luxury. After graduation from Texas Tech, she moved to Dallas for a sales position at a Cole Haan boutique before assuming similar positions at Stanley Korshak and with Cynthia Denton. Cristy then was approached to manage an Anne Fontaine boutique before deciding to try the selling side of luxury retail with Hermès, where she eventually spent 17 years.
Once with Hermès, Cristy was chosen to participate in an intensive training program in Paris, where she was able to witness the making of a Kelly and a Birkin bag at an atelier. Additionally, she was picked for two sessions of Podium for Hermès, during which she helped managers conduct their buys. Her constant focus is on always exceeding the expectations of a client who has ordered an exceptional handbag or piece of jewelry. Within her own collection, Cristy personally owns numerous Hermès bags, along with Chanel, Prada and YSL.
The native Texan enjoys spending time with her husband Randy and 14-year-old son Aidan. In addition to involving herself in and supporting his school and activities, she promotes her love of animals by donating to Operation Kindness.
