Press Release - December 19, 2005

Eleven $1 million+ Coins Sold at Auction in 2005!

Dallas, Texas: More 7-figure coins were sold at auction in 2005 than in all previous years combined, and Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers (HG&A) dominated the list. In fact, Heritage sold the four top coins auctioned in 2005, including the two highest tied at $2,990,000 each.

"I'm very proud to say that out of all eleven seven-figure coins sold at auction in 2005, Heritage sold six of them," said Greg Rohan, President of HG&A, "But even more impressive is that we were responsible for all four of the top four."

"2005 has been the best year in Heritage's history," added Rohan. "We are, far and away, the leading auction firm for coins, currency, comics and original comic art, and vintage movie posters, and we are now the number three auction firm nationwide. This year has seen an exciting growth trend in such diverse areas as fine and decorative arts, sports collectibles, political memorabilia and Americana, celebrity, music and entertainment memorabilia, and autographs, and we are poised to expand into several other areas in 2006."
