Hobby Legend, Mike Gutierrez, Joins Heritage Auctions

He brings with him decades of hobby experience and a wealth of knowledge of the sports market. Gutierrez is recognized as one of the foremost sports autograph authenticators in the hobby, and is currently a consultant for PSA/DNA, the hobby's most respected third-party authentication service. Though certainly a household name within the sports collectibles industry, Mike has achieved even greater celebrity through numerous appearances as an expert for the popular PBS television program "The Antiques Roadshow." His appraisal skills have been called upon for the estates of Bruce Lee, Pete Rozelle, Babe Herman, and Muhammad Ali. In addition, many top auction houses have relied upon Mike's rock-solid authentication credentials. Mike was lead authenticator of the autographs in the Barry Halper Auction, the largest personal collection of sports memorabilia ever sold.
