Heritage Sports Welcomes Hobby Veteran, Mark Jordan

DALLAS, TEXAS: The staff of the Heritage Auction Galleries Sports department was recently improved by the addition of veteran sports memorabilia expert Mark Jordan. His decades of hobby experience have made him an instantly recognizable figure in the field, with a breadth of knowledge that few could match. "Mark is truly one of the pioneers of the hobby," explained Chris Ivy, Director of Heritage Sports Collectibles. "All of us here at Heritage will certainly benefit from the vast expertise that Mark brings to the staff."

Jordan has been involved in the sports collectors industry since 1967 when he was a Major League batboy. He was a promoter for some of the earliest sports collectors conventions starting in 1970 and he is a nationally known expert in autograph authentication. Mark has appeared on NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, ESPN, USA Today, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated and other media outlets regarding collectibles. Trading Cards Magazine also named Jordan as one of the ten most influential persons in the sports autograph industry.
