Phenomenal Rarities to be Auctioned in Heritage's Platinum Night and Signature Auctions at Central States in St. Louis

Dallas, TX: Magnificent selections of rarities from all series will be auctioned in Heritage's Official Auction of the Central States Numismatic Society convention, being presented by Heritage Auction Galleries May 10-12, 2007 in St. Louis. The auction is highlighted by coins from the Palakika Collection, the Encinitas Collection, the Hoosier Discovery Collection, the Pacific Coast Mint Error Collection, the Cary & Cheryl Porter Collection of Classic Commemoratives, the Southland Collection, and Part Two of the Stecher Collection.

"We received so many incredible rarities," enthused Heritage President Greg Rohan, "that we decided to a add one of our prestigious Platinum Night sessions to our Central States schedule. Featuring the best of the best, this catalog will make every numismatist feel like a child in a candy shop - that is how wonderful the selections are! Overton collectors will be out in force for Lot 2128, the newly discovered 1806 O-130 Half Dollar from The Hoosier Discovery Collection (found by Heritage Senior Cataloger Mark Borckardt.

Gold collectors have a fantastic array of Registry level rarities to entice them, such as Lot 2275, a 1795 Small Eagle $5, MS64 Prooflike NGC, BD-10, one of the two finest survivors certified at NGC.

Another wonderful gold rarity is Lot 2292, an 1827 Half Eagle certified MS66 by NGC, a high R.5 that is the single finest certified for the issue.

"Dozens of other exception gold rarities, many the finest known or in the highest ranks, are included from the Palakika Collection, formed by a dedicated collector over a period of three decades, with all of the coins being off the market for a least a decade."

"As just one indication of the depth of rarities," continued Rohan, "more than a dozen Mint State High Relief Twenties are included. We are gratified by the number of wonderful coins entrusted to Heritage by our clients for inclusion in this significant event. I can promise you that perusing the CSNS catalogs online will uncover dozens of 'must have' coins for your collection."
