Heritage to Auction Incredible Collection of Vintage Guitars!
Dallas, TX: One of the world's foremost experts in the field of vintage guitars, "Rockin'" Jimmy Crimmins is, himself, an exceptional jazz/blues guitarist. Obsessed with music from an early age, Crimmins studied with guitar legend George Pritchett, guitarist with the Buddy Rich band, for a time while he attended the Milwaukee Conservatory of Music. Later, Crimmins played with such notable acts as the Blues Brothers, in their last performance before the death of frontman John Belushi.
At the same time, Crimmins also worked as the Vintage Guitar specialist at the Hollywood Guitar Center, where he came into contact with a number of incredible instruments. Currently, he is the owner of The Vintage Connection in his home state of Wisconsin, an enterprise devoted to promoting the very best in vintage guitars.
"We're thrilled that Jimmy Crimmins has hand-selected this exceptional grouping of instruments from his personal stock to offer in our upcoming auction," said Doug Norwine, Director of Music and Entertainment Auctions for Heritage. "The best of the best is represented in the Jimmy Crimmins 'Vintage Connection' Guitar Collection, from an exquisite 1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom 'Black Beauty' to a beautiful 1956 Fender Stratocaster 'See Thru Blonde' and more. Without a doubt, this is an auction that no serious guitar collector will want to miss."
"Everything is available for viewing right now at www.HA.com," Norwine said, "where interested collectors can see enlargeable, full color images of each and every lot, read our complete and informative catalog descriptions, and even place their bids online, from the comfort and convenience of their home or office."
Heritage Auction Galleries will offer the Jimmy Crimmins "Vintage Connection" Guitar Collection in their upcoming Music and Entertainment Signature auction on October 6 & 7, 2007, at their headquarters in Dallas, TX.

The market for vintage guitars is on the rise, and, contrary to some, it's not just for Baby Boomers. True, to many Boomers, vintage guitars represent a time when a guitar could be easily purchased with just a moderate allowance, so it's natural that the 50-plus crowd would be in the forefront collecting these reminders of their youth.
But it would be simplistic to suggest only Boomers collect vintage guitars, and just downright inaccurate. Interest in the guitar has never been greater, and even youthful players know that the electric guitar was developed and refined - most would say perfected - in the '40s, '50s, and '60s, the Golden Era for American guitars. And as more and more players and collectors get involved, choice pieces just become rarer, more in demand, and valuable.
We're pleased to offer some extraordinary vintage guitars in our auction...
