Heritage To Present 38th Long Beach Signature Sale

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Numismatic Auctions will be presenting their 38th sale as Official Auctioneer of the Long Beach Coin Expo on Sept. 23-24. The thrice-annual Long Beach coin show is America's largest and most important commercial coin gathering, and Heritage has been presenting their official auctions since 1985. The record-setting Heritage-Long Beach partnership is slated to continue through 2004.

"Our September Long Beach Signature Sale," noted Bob Korver, Director of Heritage Numismatic Auctions, "contains coins of interest from Ancient times to modern rarities. A substantial selection of World coins and U.S. Currency will appeal to those specialized collectors. And as the coins below indicate, there are plenty of American rarities to excite both type and series collectors!"

Type collectors and those specializing in silver dollars will be excited by the Scott Gilchrist Collection of Dollars. Gilchrist started collecting in his youth, after receiving from his father the gift of a bag of old coins that Dad had saved as a young man; his financial success later in life enabled him to acquire the rarities he read about as a young collector.
