Heritage Comics Acquires J.L.A. Comics - Owner James "Lon" Allen Joins HCA

Dallas, TX -- Heritage Comics Auctions (HCA) is proud to announce the acquisition of J.L.A. Comics and the addition of James "Lon" Allen to its rapidly growing staff of comics professionals. Lon joins the Heritage family as Auction Coordinator.

Since January of 1998, Lon has focused on selling on eBay using the id, bruce_lee, and has earned the rating of Power Seller, with over 99.5% positive feedback . As one of the top sellers of comic books on eBay, his feedback rating has grown to over 2,780, with over 5,200 individual positive comments. His main focus as a dealer has been selling high-grade 1960s and 1970s comics.

Heritage will acquire Lon's company including the eBay username and entire customer list, which will be added to its own list for the benefit of all Heritage consignors.

A comic book dealer for over a decade, Lon began selling at shows throughout the Midwest. In January , 2001, he became a full time dealer, doing business as J.L.A. Comics. Over the past few years, his collecting interests have focused on pre-code horror (especially ECs), Warren magazines and high-grade Marvels from the early '70s.

His interest in older comics began when he tried to complete a run of Iron Man, going back from the first issue he ever bought, #152. When he discovered that the title went back even further than Iron Man #1, "I was hooked on vintage comics."

Lon and his wife, Michele, and their two dogs, Astro and Guinness, come to Dallas from Leavenworth, Kansas, where Lon won early release for time served and good behavior (just kidding).
