Heritage Launches Telephone Bidding System; "Auction Anywhere" Service Tool for Bidders

Dallas, TX -- Heritage Numismatic Auctions is proud to announce the launch of our new TeleBid? telephone bidding system. "With the addition of this service, we can now offer our clients "auction-anywhere" capabilities. Whether they are relaxing in their living room, on vacation, or stuck in traffic, they can call in to our toll-free number, 1-866-445-1244, and participate in any of our auctions, anytime and from anywhere," noted Brian Shipman, Heritage's Chief Internet Officer.

The new TeleBid? telephone service includes these features for bidders:

  1. Bid on lots: You can enter the sale number and lot number if you know them, listen to a current sale list, or browse by category. You can then listen to the short description, full catalog description, get all of the coins of that category faxed or e-mailed to you, and bid. When bidding, you can bid any amount, or you can choose to bid the next increment, which is quoted to you.
  2. Review your bids: You can see what coins you have bid on and where the bids stand.
  3. Check bids: You can check the bid on any lot. You can enter the sale number, listen to a list of sales, or browse by category.
  4. Auction archive: You can find the sale price of any lot through our auction archive system. You can enter the sale number, listen to a list of sales, or browse by category.
  5. Current sales: You can listen to a list of current sales and their sale numbers.
  6. Entire sale fax or e-mail: You can get an entire sale faxed or e-mailed to you. You can also get past sales sent to you if you know the sale number.
"Our growing suite of bidder services," continued Shipman, "is greatly responsible for the growth of our web community to more than 52,000 registered bidders. Our bidders currently enjoy services like Interactive Internet? software, Permanent Auction Archives, Heritage Value Index, and many more available free only to our members. To these tools we have now added TeleBid?, for those times when computer access is limited."

The Heritage name is recognized worldwide for bringing unparalleled value to every consignor and bidder. Year 2001 sales exceeded $150 million and assets were approximately $30 million. HeritageCoin.com is the Internet's most popular and highly trafficked rare coin site, with over 52,000 registered members. HeritageCoin.com is the only coin site chosen twice by Forbes.com's Best of the Web (1999 and 2001) as one of the 250 best websites on the Internet, and also won the most recent Numismatic Literary Guild award for Best Numismatic Internet Site.
