Rare Gold Anchors Heritage's Santa Clara Sale
Dallas, Texas: Rare and desirable gold coins are taking center stage at the Santa Clara Signature Sale being hosted by Heritage Numismatic Auctions, November 18-19 at the Santa Clara Convention Center."Rare gold continues to inspire fierce bidding activity," noted HNAI Director Bob Korver, "and the prices realized at major auctions continues to attract even more quality coins into the marketplace. This sale combines wonderful coins, the friendly Santa Clara Coin Expo, the local demand of California's Bay area collectors, and the cachet of the last major numismatic event of the Millennium! The Santa Clara Sale is unique in another way ñ we have never had some many 'parts' of multiple-sale consignments being offered in one sale. Some fabulous collections are coming onto the auction block at Heritage, and many of them are so large that they must be spread over several sales!"
From Part 1 of the Joseph J. Abbell Collection of U.S. Gold Coins, the Santa Clara catalog includes many of his magnificent pieces, including:
