Kevin Foley Rejoins Currency Auctions of America - Heritage
http://www.heritagecoin.com/info/PressReleases/images/foley.jpgDallas, TX: Kevin Foley, one of the founders of Currency Auctions of America in 1988, has agreed to rejoin the firm as a Director. He will be rejoining Allen Mincho and Len Glazer in day-to-day operations, consignor relations, and cataloging duties. Mr. Foley had left CAA several years before the firm became part of the Heritage family of auction specialists.
"I am thrilled to be back," exclaimed Foley after the agreement was struck. "I have the best of both worlds. I get to continue my long professional association with Len and Allen, plus I get access to all of Heritage's technology and marketing expertise. A major factor in my decision was access to Heritage's 60,000+ registered bidder-members on their website - I know there are quite a few that don't currently collect currency and it's my intention to make currency collectors out all of them.!"
A member of the Professional Currency Dealers Association, Foley is one of only two individuals to have received its President's Award. He is a Past President of the Central States Numismatic Society, and was the editor of that organization's membership journal, The Centinel, from 1980-1990. He is also a recipient of the CSNS's Medal of Merit, as well as that organization's Elston Bradfield Literary Award.
Foley is well known throughout the numismatic trade as the Chairman of a number of important numismatic conventions, including the New York International Numismatic Convention, the Chicago Paper Money Expo, The Chicago International Coin Fair, the MidAmerica Coin Expo, the Central States Numismatic Society Convention, and the National and World Paper Money Convention, as well as others. Foley is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and earned his Master of Public Administration Degree from the Graduate School of Public Affairs at the State University of New York at Albany.
Heritage is the world's largest collectibles auctioneer with 2002 auction sell-through expected to exceed $85 million. Consignments are now being accepted for CAA-Heritage's FUN 2003 auction, to be held as an official auctioneer of the convention of Florida United Numismatists in Orlando.
