Jim Jelinski Joins Heritage

Dallas, TX: Jim Jelinski, owner of Essex Numismatics, has agreed to join Heritage Numismatic Auctions as Senior Numismatist and Consignment Coordinator. "Jim will be working with coin collectors and investors wishing to liquidate their collections with HNAI. Jim's experience and knowledge will be a big asset to Heritage and its customers. His many years in the business make Jim extremely well qualified to assist our customers in selling their collections," said Heritage Executive VP Greg Rohan.

A collector since age 8, Jim has been involved in numismatics over 5 decades, progressing from humble beginnings to professional dealer and educator. He is a Life member of the American Numismatic Association, the American Numismatic Society and other state and national numismatic organizations.

Starting as Numismatic Buyer for Paramount International Coin Corporation in 1972, he went on to open Essex Numismatic Properties, in 1975 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, acting as President and CEO. Later, positions at M.B. Simmons & Associates, of Narberth, Pennsylvania, included, Director of Sales, Director of Marketing and Advertising, and Executive Vice President. In 1979, he reorganized Essex in Connecticut and, as Essex Numismatics, Inc., worked as COO., and partner. Later in the mid 1980's, Jim became a majority stockholder and CFO. His involvement with Essex Numismatics, Inc. remained a constant until his recent move to Dallas to join the staff at Heritage Capital Corporation as Senior Numismatist, and Consignment Coordinator.

"I am a father of two sons, and am actively involved in both my church and my community. I have just completed my 20th season of coaching youth athletics, I am involved in Boy Scouting as a troop leader and as a merit badge counselor. I have been a fund raiser for Paul Newman's "Hole in the Wall Gang" camp for terminally ill children, and for Boy Scouts. My personal diversions include fly fishing, sky diving, cooking, and wine collecting," adds Jim.
