Press Release - January 14, 2000

World's first paper money-only on-line auction site, CurrencyAuction.com, gives bidders fast access and a chance to win a 1899 Silver Certificate

Dallas, Texas: The world's first on-line auction site devoted exclusively to paper money, CurrencyAuction.com, will be launched February 1, 2000 at www.CurrencyAuction.com. The precedent-setting site will host twice-monthly sales with no buyer's premium, and features a specially designed search engine that makes it easy for collectors to instantly locate the specific types of currency they are seeking.

During the introductory period, visitors who register to bid have a chance to win a free Crisp Uncirculated 1899 Silver Certificate valued above $225.

"This truly is a noteworthy achievement, the first Internet auction site exclusively devoted to paper money: Nationals, Confederate, Fractionals, Colonials, and all types of U.S. currency", said Paul Minshull, Chief Operating Officer of Heritage Numismatic Auctions of Dallas, Texas.

CurrencyAuction.com is an affiliate of Heritage, the world's largest numismatic dealer and auctioneer.

"This is not like other auction sites that make it cumbersome and time-consuming to locate currency that is mingled with many other auction items. We have developed a fast, effortless way for collectors to quickly find and view exactly the notes they want," explained Minshull.

Every note in each sale will be digitally scanned and displayed on-line in full-color, allowing collectors to zoom in for high-quality close-up details and even download the images. CurrencyAuction.com sales will be held on the 15th and 30th of each month.

"The currency market is hot and collector demand for notes is extremely high. We believe this will quickly become the leading web site for buying and auctioning currency because of the interactive convenience for consignors and sellers," predicted Minshull. "This is the most advanced numismatic currency auction site on the World Wide Web."
