Unknown artist - Original Art for Tomb of Terror #7, Complete 6-page Story, "The Eyeless Ones" (Harvey, 1953).
Can anyone foretell what awaits man in the fascinating, yet fearsome future? This story, drawn by an uncredited artist, is drawn in beautiful, lush line that is a joy to behold. The retro feel of the technology is perfectly countered by the lumpy, eyeless, loinclothed brutes, who dominate the pages. The twist ending, although familiar to today's audiences, is still quite a stunner. The overall page size is 14" x 20" with an image area of 12" x 18". The work is absolutely spotless, with only the slightest bit of aging apparent. Includes the original frontispiece paste-up, with parts missing. Realized $1,838.85.

Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $1,338; NM 9.4 value = $2,350. Realized $1,782.50.
