Heritage to Post Its Auction Catalogs on Multiple Websites

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Numismatic Auctions has already struck deals with AbaCoin, RubyLane, AuctionWatch, AuctionRover, iCollector, and Boxlot/Numismatists Online, and is working with several other leading websites as well, to list all of its Signature and Bullet auction lots on those sites. That's in addition to the complete listings -- with descriptions, full-color images on almost every lot, and interactive bidding -- that already appear on Heritage's website http://www.HeritageCoin.com.

According to the Director of HNAI, Bob Korver, "Every day, Heritage Numismatic Auctions is signing up new bidders coming to us from these sites. We wanted to think that every coin buyer knew about every Heritage auction, but the fact is that some buyers slipped through the cracks, or simply didn't realize when we were about to sell the very coin they'd been looking for. Now, collectors and investors searching the Web can find our coins in more places. Obviously, this is another important benefit to our consignors."

John Zuk, founder and CEO of AbaCoin.com, which after just a few months in operation has become perhaps the leading direct coin sales site on the Internet, said, "When Heritage approached us with the idea of listing their auction coins, we knew this was a natural fit. While AbaCoin remains committed to our mission of providing a buy/sell exchange for our members, we recognize that numismatic rarities are often traded through an auction forum. By partnering with leading numismatic auction houses, we can ensure that our collectors are aware of nearly every coin that is currently on the market. Heritage Numismatic Auctions (HNA) redefined the coin auction model by holding their sales in conjunction with major coin shows around the country. In keeping with our motto of Just Like Going to a Coin Show, we think the combination of auction preview lots and coins available for sale delivers the best of both worlds to our members."

AbaCoin shoppers see HNAI auction lots listed alongside coins for sale at fixed prices, and any searches or wantlist registration will access auction coins too. And unlike with some of the other sites Heritage is working with, AbaCoin's visitors can, if they choose, click directly to the Heritage web site and bid.

AuctionWatch, AuctionRover, and RubyLane are online auction search engines that link to other sites such as Amazon Auctions, Yahoo Auctions, eBay, and now Heritage. iCollector is a Great Britain-based site that aggregates auctions, i.e. it provides a compendium of auction catalogs from online and live auctioneers around the world. Boxlot recently merged with Numismatists Online, and now functions as both an auction site (similar to eBay) and auction network.

"The more exposure auction coins get," added Korver, "the higher prices they bring, and nobody gets more exposure for their consignors' coins than Heritage. What's more, we expect to have several more of these deals completed with major sites within the next few months. Now more than ever, Heritage takes our consignors' coins directly to the buyers -- worldwide."
