Heritage Comics Website Passes 12,000 Registered Bidder-Members!

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Comics Auctions is pleased to announce that membership in its on-line community has recently topped 12,000 after just over 22 months of operation. While HeritageComics.com is a free website, taking the extra step to become a member of HCA (which is also free, and requires only a few minutes to register) entitles members to bid on-line in both Signature sales, and internet-only Amazing Comics Auctions™. Members also receive a weekly e-newsletter, updates on important happenings in Heritage Comics, access to Heritage’s Permanent Auction Archive (including prices realized), automatic “first-shot” email notification when items on their My WantList become available, plus 20% rebates on CGC submissions.

This 12,000-member milestone takes place just as Heritage prepares to produce four separate San Diego Comic-Con 2003 July 15-20 Signature auction catalogs, which together will feature over 4000 lots of rare comics, original art, movie posters, comic collectibles, toys and illustration art. The San Diego auction might well surpass Heritage’s previous Guinness World Record $5.2 million comics and popular culture auction conducted last October.

“Our community is growing by leaps and bounds!” said Fred McSurley, Heritage Comics’ Consignment Director. “And we’re still adding new bidder-members at the rate of about 250 a week.”

Heritage Comics conducts at least three multi-million-dollar live “Signature” comics and original art auctions per year, and has recently introduced Gallery and Lightning auction formats, both of which will premier at Wizard World Chicago 2003 on August 8-10. Bidders can participate online in Signature auctions as well.
