Grand Cape Neddick Cottage Steps from Beach
DALLAS, Texas (July 8, 2020) — A custom-designed home on Maine's Cape Neddick will be offered at auction July 28 by Heritage Auctions. Built with authenticity in mind, this one-of-a-kind retreat in the York Cliffs Historic District has resort-style amenities and the privacy to get away from it all.

"'The Cottage at Passaconaway' is an artful combination of traditional design and contemporary comforts,” said Nate Schar, Director of Luxury Real Estate for Heritage Auctions. "It truly provides the opportunity for a classic Maine vacation experience, with incredible water views and private beach access.”

The Cottage was built on the foundations of the Inn at Passaconaway, once a renowned getaway for elite families. Much use is made of the views the bluff-top location affords, with views from most rooms and more than 3,000 square feet of outdoor living space.

Designed to be an ideal getaway for all kinds, the home offers luxury amenities like a gym, theater, tennis court and whispering gallery. Private beach access is just steps away, and water sports are plentiful nearby. The home has been available as a short-term rental, too, so the new owners may consider the option of using it to generate income. The location is also an easy drive to the shops at Kittery and historic Portsmouth. Boston's Logan Airport is only about an hour away.

"The home is large enough to comfortably accommodate 12 or more,” says Schar. "Bidders will have the opportunity to create their own memories in a classic New England setting. The auction will be held without reserve, so buyers can name their price.”

Bidding for the house will take place at the property July 28. Bidders are required to register prior to the sale. To aid buyers in evaluating this property, a comprehensive Due Diligence Package (DDP) has been created. To request a DDP, please call 855-261-0573 or visit HA.com/Maine.
