Heritage Honored by Numismatic Literary Guild Awards

Dallas, TX - Heritage Numismatic Auctions received four significant awards at the NLG’s award banquet held in Baltimore during the summer convention of the American Numismatic Association. Coming right on the heels of our incredibly successful $14-million Baltimore auction,” noted Heritage Co-Chairman Steve Ivy, “we were especially thrilled to win four such important awards.”

The Catalog of the Year award was won by the Belzberg Collection of Canadian Coinage, which was sold in New York City last January by Heritage World Coin Auctions. “Sid and Alicia Belzberg assembled the world’s finest and most complete collection,” noted HWCA Director Warren Tucker, “and it realized over $3 million (U.S.). Wonderful material like this deserves an equally impressive catalog - and it was our honor to provide it.” The Belzberg Collection was offered as an Official Auction of the New York International Numismatic Convention.

Heritage also took top honors for the Best Dealer Web Site, www.HeritageCoin.com. “With more than 90,000 registered bidder/members,” stated Brian Shipman, Heritage’s Chief Internet Officer, “the Heritage website is simply the biggest and the best on the Web, and we are pleased with such recognition by our peers.
