Schwarzenegger On The Block In November
DALLAS, TEXAS:Memorabilia from the films of Arnold Schwarzenegger and some of his Hollywood contemporaries will be offered at Heritage Comic (HCA)’s next auction, November 20-23, to be held in Arlington, Texas in conjunction with WizardWorld Texas.
“We’ve been involved with Hollywood somewhat peripherally through our record-setting Movie Poster auctions,” said John Petty, HCA’s Director of Auctions, “but this is a whole new world for us. Needless to say, we’re very excited to be entering the field of movie props, costumes and memorabilia.”
Some of the items being offered in the November sale include a screen-worn black leather glove from Terminator II, the only complete Turbo Man costume from Jingle All the Way, Arnold’s teal-blue suit from Red Heat, and the actual military-issue commando-style parachute and weapon’s vest from Eraser.
In addition to the Schwarzenegger material, HCA is also offering one of Mike Meyer’s original Goldmember outfits, Bob Hope’s trademark military jacket, a pair of boxing gloves used by Sylvester Stallone in Rocky and signed by the actor, and the only complete Marlon Brando costume ever offered from The Score.
Music fans haven’t been forgotten either. Rock-and-roll collectors will want to check out guitars owned and played by such legendary performers as Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, and Jeff Beck. A stage-worn Gene Simmons Kiss costume will also be offered, as well as the outstanding Bill Paquin collection of Beatles albums and memorabilia. Virtually every period of rock-and-roll history is represented in this collection, from the 1950s through the pop-music phenomena of today.
