Free "Statehood Quarters" Collecting Boards Available For Local Youngsters

Dallas, Texas: As part of the local festivities for National Coin Week (April 16 - 22), a Highland Park business has begun giving away free collector boards for the Statehood Quarters currently being produced by the U.S. Mint. Heritage, the world's largest rare coin dealer and auctioneer, has ordered thousands of the attractive coin holders so local youngsters can enjoy completing a set of the coins out of circulation. Parents, grandparents, and local teachers (able to pick up in quantities for their students) are invited to visit Heritage's headquarters at 100 Highland Park Village (2nd Floor), at the corner of Preston Road and Mockingbird (a map is available at www.HeritageCoin.com). The free collector boards may be picked up during showroom hours: Monday - Friday 9-5, and 9-1 on Saturdays.

"The celebration of National Coin Week has special meaning this year," noted Heritage Co-Chairman Steve Ivy. "With the new Statehood quarters, people are looking at their pocket change, and youngsters are getting interested in collecting coins again. When the Delaware quarter was released in 1999 (the first coin in the decade-long series), we immediately noticed the positive public response. These special holders make it easy for youngsters of all ages to collect a set of these fascinating coins. And the first 100 youngsters to visit our showroom will also receive a free quarter to begin filling their collector board!"

"While Heritage is in the rare coin business," explained Executive VP Greg Rohan, "there is no denying the appeal of these commemorative quarters. They are incredibly educational, and the ability to collect coins out of circulation hasn't seriously happened in more than three decades. National Coin Week was established in 1923 by the American Numismatic Association (the national hobby group), and the Statehood quarters may make this the biggest celebration yet."
