Press Release - November 24, 2003

THERE'S A LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR AFTER HERITAGE'S LATEST AUCTION!

Dallas, Texas: "It's the week before Thanksgiving, and we have quite a lot to be thankful for right now," said John Petty, Director of Auctions for Heritage Comics Auction's (HCA) of Dallas, Texas.

"Our latest sale, held in conjunction with WizardWorld's first Texas show, was a resounding success, realizing well over $4 million, and that's without after auction sales, which we expect to be extremely brisk."

"We had strong participation from all bidding segments," Petty continued, "with well-attended floor sessions and strong phone participation, but by far the most successful bidders were those that placed their bids via our website at www.HeritageComics.com. With over 1,500 website bidders and nearly $1.7 million in successful website bids, this seems to be the way to get those items you really want."

Some highlights of the sale include:

A one-sheet for "The Babe Comes Home" (First National, 1927)
sold for $138,000. "One of only two copies of this stunning poster featuring baseball legend Babe Ruth known to exist," said Petty, "this was the centerpiece of our most successful poster to date."

The Human Torch #2 (#1) (Timely, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white pages
realized $73,600, 1.84 times the current 9.4 Overstreet value.

Target Comics #7 Mile High pedigree (Novelty Press, 1940) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages
brought $57,500, nearly nine times the 9.4 Guide price.

Wow Comics #nn (#1) Mile High pedigree (Fawcett, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages
sold for $41,400, more than double Overstreet's 9.4 price.

Batman #11 (DC, 1942) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages
realized $36,800, better than four times Overstreet's current 9.4 value of $8,500.

Alex Schomburg Original Cover Art for Speed Comics #31 (Harvey, 1944)
