Heritage Expands FUN 2001 Auction Dates

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Numismatic Auction, Inc. is extending the sessions scheduled for its Signature Sale at the Florida United Numismatists convention, January 3-5, 2001. Notes Bob Korver, HNAI Director: "In response to an unprecedented wave of consignments for our Signature Sale, we now have sessions scheduled for:
  • Wednesday, January 3, 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 4, 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 4, 7 p.m.
  • Friday, January 5, 1 p.m.
  • Friday, January 5, 7 p.m.
On Saturday, we will also be presenting a Bullet Auction at 9:30 a.m. The gratifying response of numismatists to our FUN auctions, so far in advance of our November 27th consignment deadline, reflects the importance of the FUN venue to the numismatic community, and the significance of being the official auctioneer of such a notable gathering of numismatists."

Greg Rohan, Executive VP of Heritage, added: "More than three dozen consignors have already submitted their collections for this sale, exceeding $2.5 million in value. The four anchor consignments alone are valued above $1.5 million, so there is plenty of opportunity for consignors large and small to participate. The E.O. Smith Collection was assembled by the dean of Florida numismatists. The Glenn J. Church Collection of Barber Quarters is virtually complete in high-grade Mint State specimens. Part 2 of the Sal Westerman Collection, a marvelous offering of gold, includes four Mint State High Relief Saints! The Helen Cookson Collection is a specialized collection of 1921 coinage, including both Zerbe & Chapman Proof Morgans. We even have a spectacular error pair: a 1943 "copper" cent and a 1944 steel cent! Having such wonderful coins this early in the process gives Heritage maximum time for marketing them, which means maximum prices realized for the consignors. This is a sale that will see numerous records established."
