Heritage Internet Currency Auction Results #35052

DALLAS, TEXAS: Heritage's 928-lot Internet CurrencyAuction.com auction #35052 which closed Monday night, May 30, sold 904 lots (86.67% of lots offered). Total sales were $94,470. With 478 bidders participating, 270 were successful.

Every single-item lot includes full-color enlargeable images of the obverse and reverse, to help bidders determine their bids with confidence.

Below are some of the highlights from the May 30 CurrencyAuction.com auction:

Fr. 2212-G $1000 1934A Federal Reserve Note. Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
Here is a wonderful high denomination issue that combines bright white paper with nice embossing that brings you a quality note. REALIZED: $3,450.

Fr. 268 $5 1896 Silver Certificate Fine-Very Fine.
This crispy $5 Ed has plenty of snap for the grade, and, given the "gradeflation" that is often seen on this scarce and ever-popular type, many would grade it fully VF. It has good color and excellent originality, and is, in short, an ideal example for a circulated type set. REALIZED: $2,587.

Bellport, NY - $5 1929 Ty. 2The Bellport NB Ch. # 12473
This rare note shows 3 Small known in Kelly with this note in the census. Though it is listed there as a Fine, we believe that this note grades Fine-Very Fine with decent paper quality and color. REALIZED: $2,300.

Fr. 2200-F $500 1928 Federal Reserve Note. Fine.
This $500 carries the lowest serial number for Atlanta that is recorded in the Oakes reference. Nice color remains on this evenly circulated note that has a couple of edge tears. 1928 high denomination notes are much tougher to locate than the 1934 issues. REALIZED: $2,185.

McKeesport, PA - $10 1882 Brown Back Fr. 485 The NB Ch. # (E)4625
There is only one Brown Back in the census of 21 Large on this bank and that is a $5. This $10 from the A plate position of the sheet has three huge margins, lightly handled edges, no pinholes, and possesses nice color. Fine-Very Fine. REALIZED: $1,380.
