Latest Heritage Weekly Internet Movie Poster Auction #55061
DALLAS, TEXAS: Heritage's latest Weekly Internet Movie Poster Auction (IMPA) #55061 ended Sunday, June 5, with 85 lots offered. 119 bidders placed bids, and 47 of them were successful, for a total sell-through of $5,361 for 85 lots (100.00% of lots offered).
A few highlights from the June 5 IMPA auction are:
Blade Runner (Warner Brothers, 1982). One Sheet (27" X 41"). This is a folded, vintage, theater-used poster for this sci-fi thriller directed by Ridley Scott and stars Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer and Sean Young. The poster appears to be an unissued, absolute mint copy. Mint. REALIZED: $431.
White Heat (J.D. Trop, 1934). One Sheet (27" X 41"). This is a folded, vintage, theater-used poster for this early soap drama directed by Lois Weber and stars Virginia Cherrill, Mona Maris and Hardie Albright. There is one small tear in the top center margin and chipping along the upper left leading edge. Very Fine. REALIZED: $322.
The Two Mrs. Carrolls (Warner Brothers, 1947). One Sheet (27" X 41"). This is a folded, vintage, theater-used poster crime drama directed by Peter Godfrey and stars Humphrey Bogart, Barbara Stanwyck and Alexis Smith. There is fold line wear with crossfold separation, edge wear with chips and small tears and several corner pinholes. Fine-. REALIZED: $184.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (Paramount, 1984). One Sheet (27" X 41"). This is a folded, vintage, theater-used poster for this adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Harrison Ford, Kate Capshaw and Amrish Puri. There are a few very tiny edge bumps;otherwise in perfect shape. Near Mint. REALIZED: $184.
Elvis on Tour (MGM, 1972). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). This is a vintage, theater-used lobby card set for this music documentary directed by Robert Abel and chronicals the 1972-73 tour of Elvis Presley. There are corner bumps and a couple of creases on card #1; otherwise they are in excellent condition. Near Mint. REALIZED: $184.
