Heritage Renewed Through 2005 as the Official Auctioneer for FUN & Long Beach Expos

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Numismatic Auctions Inc. has announced it has been selected to continue as the official auctioneer of two of America's most important coin conventions.

Noted Heritage Co-Chairman Steve Ivy, "Heritage has just been awarded the contract to remain the official auctioneer of the Florida United Numismatists (FUN) auctions through January 2005, and to remain the official auctioneer of the Long Beach Coin and Stamp Expo through the end of 2004. Add to this our upcoming sales as official auctioneer of the Central States Numismatic Society Convention in Milwaukee next month, and the Chicago ANA in August, and you have all the evidence of our continuing status as America's Convention Auctioneer!™"

"The FUN Convention," added Heritage Co-Chairman Jim Halperin, "is the largest and most successful club-sponsored numismatic show in America. The FUN organization is now in its 44th year, and Heritage has been presenting their official auctions since 1991. Every year this prestigious convention seems to get better, as numismatists from across America and around the world flock to Orlando every January. And Heritage's FUN auctions grow larger and more important as the show grows. Our next FUN sale will not only be the first of the Millennium, Heritage will also be celebrating our 100th Signature sale. What a great way to start a new century!"

"The Long Beach Coin Shows," continued HNAI's Bob Korver, "held three times every year, are America's largest and most important commercial coin shows. Heritage has been their official auctioneer since 1986. In fact, Heritage has held more than 35 sales at the Long Beach Coin Expo. Now in its 36th year, the continuing success of the Long Beach show is a tribute to the growing demand of the numismatists of Southern California. And while nothing can replace a strong base of affluent collectors, investors, and dealers, Long Beach has long been a truly national show, with dealers and collectors attending from across America."

Added Ivy, "The Long Beach & FUN venues, even though they are found on opposite coasts, have one important feature in common. Even though their names may suggest a regional audience, their reputation over many decades is that both are truly national in scope, attended by virtually all active collectors and dealers in the country. And both shows claim many attendees from around the world!" "The significance of these shows nationally cannot be overemphasized," continued Korver. "The cornerstone of Heritage's success for more than two decades has been our role as America's Convention Auctioneer.™ Only Heritage brings our consignors coins to the buyers at America's leading coin conventions. We go to all the added expense of holding our sales at these shows all across America for one basic reason -- because the serious buyers are found there. It is an auction truism that more bidders mean higher prices. It really is that simple. We spend the extra dollars so that our consignors will realize higher prices realized, and this in turn attracts additional future consignments.

Concluded Halperin, "We have now extended our basic commitment to reach bidders around the globe. Heritage wants our consignors to know that we are committed to bring their coins to the buyers - worldwide! Heritage has invested more than $1 million to create our Interactive Internet bidding system so that bidders and buyers around the world can more effectively participate in our sales. We know that Long Beach and FUN will continue to grow in popularity and attendance, but we consider it critical to make every collector - where ever they are located -- feel comfortable participating in our sales. Heritage has always used technological advances to support our customer service, and we are now the first major auction company to fully integrate Internet bidding with our floor, mail, fax, and telephone bidders."
