The Oak Collection of American Colonial Coins Anchors Heritage's Long Beach Signature Auction
DALLAS, TEXAS: The Oak Collection of American Colonial Coins - a magnificent research collection of more than 500 coins - will anchor Heritage Numismatic Auctions Sept. 21-24 Signature Auction in Long Beach. Heritage is the Official Auctioneer of the Long Beach Coin Expo, and Signature Auctions will be presented there by HNAI, Heritage Currency Auctions of America, and Heritage World Coin Auctions. The online catalogs have been posted at HeritageCoins.com.
"The consignor of the Oak Collection," said Greg Rohan, President of HNAI, "has been pursuing American Colonial coins for nearly half a century. He bought his first piece more than 45 years ago, seeking the excitement of owning an important piece of early American history. Well, that same excitement has remained an important part of his lifelong commitment. Over the decades, as his sophistication grew in this significant area of American numismatics, his interest gravitated to areas that were less researched and underappreciated. Soon, the joy of discovery became more important than that of acquisition. Of course, with more than five hundred pieces, he also abundantly enjoyed acquiring coins! We know that you will enjoy this comprehensive collection of America's first coins as well."
