Heritage's First $200,000+ Exclusively Internet? Auction
Dallas, Texas: Heritage's weekly Exclusively Internet? auction closed December 12 with $223,908 in sell-through. Conducted from December 5-12, this was the first Heritage Exclusively Internet? sale to break the $200,000 barrier. Over 600 lots found new homes with 256 successful bidders (out of 437 bidders participating).Heritage attributes the success of this sale a number of factors, but according to Heritage Co-Chairman James Halperin the three most important are:
- An increase in fresh consignments as a result of overflow from Heritage's massive $8+ million FUN auction coming up in January, and
- Heritage's new policy of offering its freshest inventory to Website and Exclusively Internet? customers before they are offered on other venues.
- Our exclusive My WantList? web program sends automatic e-mails when a coin matches our customers' "want", making it easier than ever to complete a collection without endless searching.
