Heritage World Coins Long Beach Auction Realizes $1.2 Million
DALLAS, TEXAS: Heritage World Coin Auctions (HWCA) held its most recent Signature Auction September 22-23, 2005 as part of Heritage Numismatics Auctions, Inc.'s Official Auction at the Long Beach Coin Expo. $1,211,375 was realized, with 2,176 total bidders participating, 427 of them successfully, for 2,184 total lots. 18 lots were purchased after the auction by 12 bidders for a total of $6,854, although after-auction sales are still ongoing.
"I'm very pleased with the results of our most recent auction," said Warren Tucker, Director of HWCA. "World coins are growing in popularity, especially in the current hot numismatics market. We're working now on putting together our next auction, to be held January 8-9, 2006 in New York City, and it's already shaping up to be a very exciting event."
