Heritage's Long Beach U.S. Coin Auction Realizes $14 Million
DALLAS, TEXAS: Heritage Numismatic Auctions, Inc., (HNAI) held its most recent Signature Auction September 21-24, 2005 as the Official Auctioneer of the Long Beach Coin Expo. $14,353,756 was realized, with 3,637 total bidders participating, 1,128 of them successfully, for 6,528 total lots. 68 lots were purchased after the auction by 40 bidders for a total of $112,323, although after-auction sales are still ongoing.
"This has been one of the strongest years in numismatics we've ever seen," said Greg Rohan, President of HNAI. "Bidding and participation are aggressive across all categories, and new records are set with virtually every auction. This is a great time to be a numismatist, as exceptional rarities are being offered with amazing frequency. I'm very much looking forward to our next auction, November 3-5, 2005 in Palm Beach, Florida."
