Jack Kirby and George Roussos (as G. Bell)
Sgt. Fury
#5 Complete 24 Page Story (Marvel, 1964)
Talk about a rarity--original art for a complete early Silver Age Marvel issue, featuring the first appearance of a character who continues to resonate in the MCU! Baron Strucker challenges Nick Fury to a duel to prove the supremacy of the blah-blah-blah, you know how he gets. Strucker is also a dirty cheat and he dopes Fury's drink to ensure he beats the American "fair and square." What happens next is for you read in this complete story full of all razzle-dazzle of Marvel's Silver Age King, Jack Kirby. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". These boards are moderately toned with a number of production marks on them, including moderate handling and edge wear, production oil stains, production notes in ink and crayon, creases in corners, whiteout corrections and touch-ups, and on the title page, staples in the left margin. Overall condition is Very Good.

Steve Ditko
Blue Beetle
#6 "A Specter Is Haunting Hub City!" Unpublished Complete 18-Page Story Original Art (Charlton, c. 1969)
Here's a Ditko deep-cut that doesn't come around often: the complete 18-page story created for Charlton's
Blue Beetle
#6, a book that was canceled before it ever reached print. The lost issue finally debuted at the New York Comic Art Convention on July 4, 1974, in
CPL Special Double Issue #9 & 10... Presents the Charlton Portfolio
(often shortened to
Charlton Portfolio
#9/10), and was later reprinted in
The Action Heroes Archives
Vol. 2.
Ditko was in remarkable form at the time. Not far removed from his landmark run on
Amazing Spider-Man
, he had already created new characters for DC, was producing some of his finest work for Warren Publishing, and had recently introduced one of his most personal signature creations in Mr. A. It is a shame Charlton did not keep the series going, because Ditko's Blue Beetle was a perfect fit for his sensibilities. He had already reinvented the character in
Captain Atom
#83 by introducing Ted Kord as the new Beetle following Dan Garrett, and leaned into a formula he understood better than anyone: a science-minded hero with a secret identity, spring-loaded movement, and a steady stream of wisecracks. In many ways, he reads like Peter Parker grown up and reinvented under a new name and costume.
This story, "B.B. Meets the Specter," has all the hallmarks of the Ditko style collectors cherish, looking every bit like a lost extension of his great 1960s work. There is no shortage of action, with multiple pages devoted to Blue Beetle's clashes with the nearly invisible Specter. Adding a final bittersweet note, the story closes with the promise of a "colorful new villain" in the next issue. If only.
Created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 12" x 18". Slight toning, minor waviness/warping across all the pages, staining near the bottom of Pages 1-2, minor spot stain in the center of Page 1, whiteout corrections/highlights, creasing in the lower right of Page 1, blue pencil editorial marks, and minor handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.

Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars
#3 Complete 24 Page Story (Marvel, 1984)
Battleworld is besieged with super storms, and the tenuous alliance between the heroes comes unraveled when Spider-Man takes on the Uncanny X-Men! Younger collectors can't fathom what a huge event
Secret Wars
was when it premiered in 1984, nor its eventual impact on comics and popular culture. This is the complete story, "Tempest Without, Crisis Within!" featuring everyone from Absorbing Man to Wolverine! Two additional pages are included with alternate art or corrected panels to be added or swapped out. All were created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Pages are lightly to moderately toned with irregularly trimmed margins and trimmed corners, lettering stats, toned and partly detached on some pages. Glue residue, production oil stains, production notes in graphite, and whiteout corrections and touch-ups. Overall condition is Very Good.

Fantastic Four
#55 Thing vs. Silver Surfer Story Page 10 Original Art (Marvel, 1966).
It's the match-up promised by the iconic cover: the Thing vs. the Silver Surfer! And what cosmic event, supervillain, or world-ending threat has incited this brutal brawl? None other than jealousy -- as the Thing's ever-lovin' blue eyes turn green with envy upon finding the "crummy Casanova" at his girlfriend Alicia Masters' house! The artwork for this single issue is consistently ranked among the most desirable from the entire famed Kirby run as it comes from a classic story, featuring the great Silver Surfer, one of Kirby's most iconic contributions to the Marvel Silver Age, and the artwork is the absolute peak of the Kirby/Sinnott team. Rendered in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board at a twice-up scale of 12.5" x 18.5". The piece exhibits whiteout, marginal notes, and handling wear. In Excellent condition.

Marvel Comics #1 October Copy (Timely, 1939) CBCS Restored GD+ 2.5 Mod/Ext Amateur Off-white to white pages.
Any copy of the very first Timely comic book is a real treat to behold, and this restored copy may just be your best chance of securing one for your collection! It features the first appearances of the Human Torch, Ka-Zar, the Angel, Jungle Terror, and Masked Raider. It also has the origin of Namor the Sub-Mariner (in his first newsstand appearance) inside its early Golden Age pages. Most surviving copies of this comic have the month "Oct." overprinted with a black circle and "Nov." printed above it. Ones with the October date visible are not only rare, they are often more desirable since they're considered to be the first printing of the book. The interior art is by Carl Burgos, Bill Everett, and Paul Gustavson, with the Human Torch cover supplied by pulp cover artist extraordinaire Frank R. Paul. This is currently the #4 book on Overstreet's list of
Top 100 Golden Age Comics
. CBCS notes, "Amateur restoration includes: Moderate amount of pieces added to cover, cover & 1st wrap reinforced, tear seals to cover and first wrap, cover cleaned." Overstreet 2026 GD 2.0 value = $93,500.
