Frank Frazetta, Original Art Sketch, Cave Men and Women (undated).
Frank Frazetta lets his pen and imagination loose and these little prehistoric playmates are the result. This charming and somewhat risque sketch measures 5.5" x 2.75" on paper, and is nicely signed. There is a small light stain on the lower right hand corner that does not affect the art; otherwise this piece is in excellent condition.

Frank Frazetta - Original Color Prelim for Conan the Usurper (1966).
This fragment of paper, removed from a Frazetta sketchbook, is one of Frank's preliminary color sketches for his cover illustration to the Lancer edition paperback,
Conan the Usurper
, by Robert E. Howard. It's somewhat tiny, measuring approximately 4" x 4.75" with the lower left corner missing and several tears present, yet it still packs a powerful image for such a small piece. Painted in opaque colors and signed in ink, this micro-masterpiece might well be within reach of collectors on a budget. And who wouldn't want a Frazetta original in their collection?

Frank Frazetta - Original Illustration, Awakening (undated).
One of the first things that strikes you when you look at a Frazetta original is how much a master artist can do with so little. With a minimum of lines, Frazetta manages to tell a whole story about a beautiful woman awakening from a restful slumber, ready to experience the joy of a new day. Subtle yet powerful, Frazetta gives us a perfect example of the theory of economy of line. With an image area of approximately 5.5" x 3.5", this compelling piece is in excellent condition and is signed by the artist in the lower left.

Frank Frazetta - Original Preliminary Sketch for Death Dealer #3 (undated).
Probably one of Frazetta's most unforgettable images is the powerful "Death Dealer," a menacing, shadowy figure holding a bloody axe, high above a mass of snarling demons. Only a master painter like Frazetta could bring style and grace to creatures so grim. This version of the Death Dealer was painted in oils in 1986. This rough color sketch measures 5" x 6.75" and is attractively matted. Painted in oil, the rich, vibrant color scheme is there, along with a very loose interpretation of the demon horde below. It's sort of a short-hand version of the final piece. The work is in excellent condition, with some minor stains along the edges, obviously made by Frazetta himself, when painting this sketch. Here is a rare opportunity to own a small part of this iconic masterpiece. Signed by Frank Frazetta.

The third panel bears the inscription, "To Alan, with Best Wishes from Frank Frazetta."

A striking vision of terror and beauty, beautifully handled in pen and ink and lush watercolor, by Frazetta, who is renowned for his images of prehistoric scenarios. The art is drawn on a sheet of 7.75" x 9.5" paper. There is a thin strip of art that has been repositioned along the left edge, but it does not distract from the beauty of the overall piece.
