1854 EH10C Half Dime, Judd-166, Pollock-192, High R.7, PR55 PCGS.
(PCGS# 11706)
Auction 1333
| Lot: 3050 | Aug 22, 2021
Sold For:
$2,640.00
1854 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-164 Original, Pollock-189, R.5.--Corroded--ANACS. AU53 Details.
The hook-necked flying eagle design surrounded by stars and the date below. The reverse closely resembles the regular dies issue for the large cent, although the wreath and letters are smaller, as is the diameter. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. The lightly worn reddish-brown and mocha-colored surfaces are laced with blue. The lower right wreath displays some weakness, and a patch of active corrosion is noted below and around the eagle's talons.
From The Dale A. Konigsburg Collection, Part Two.

Auction 1261
| Lot: 18204 | Nov 4, 2017
Sold For:
$1,920.00
1854 E1C One Cent, Judd-158, Pollock-185, High R.6--Damaged, Cleaned--ANACS. XF Details, Net PR20.
A very unusual issue taken from a reduced 1854 silver dollar on the obverse, causing the 4 in the date to look more like a 1 and blurring the central details. On the reverse, 1 CENT is encircled by an oak and acorn wreath. Struck in a nickel alloy that reportedly is affected by magnetism, with a widely spaced reeded edge. Plenty of reverse detail remains evident, but the obverse details are only faintly visible. Pinscratches are noted on the obverse fields. The steel-gray surfaces are subdued after improper cleaning. An affordable example of this scarce pattern variety.
From The Dale A. Konigsburg Collection.

| Lot: 1461 | Jun 6, 2010
Sold For:
$1,207.50
1854 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-164 Original, Pollock-189, R.5--Cleaned, Lacquered--ANACS. Net PR50.
Flying Eagle design with a hook-neck eagle on the obverse, surrounded by stars and the date below. The reverse closely resembles the regular dies issue for the Large Cent. Struck in either copper or bronze with a plain edge. A pleasing deep red-brown color adorns the fields, while golden accents sparkle on the tops of the devices. The striking details are bold throughout, except on ONE, and a number of tiny hairlines, well hidden by the deep coloration, attest to an old cleaning, as noted by ANACS for the sake of accuracy.

Sold For:

1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-161 Original, Pollock-187, R.4, PR58 PCGS.
Reduced size Large cent with the obverse showing the head of Liberty wearing a diadem inscribed LIBERTY, while the reverse depicts ONE CENT in a small laurel wreath. Struck in bronze with plain edge. Streaky wood-grain light and medium brown toning embraces this specimen, which exhibits slight friction on the leaves and a few faint obverse handling marks, which include an inconspicuous pinscratch on the forehead.

| Lot: 9695 | Oct 13, 2014
Sold For:
$734.38
1854 P1C One Cent, Judd-161 Original, Pollock-187, R.4, AU58 ANACS. The central motif of the obverse is very similar to the Braided Hair Cent design, but the planchet is slightly smaller in diameter and no stars appear about the periphery. The laurel wreath reverse was designed by Franklin Peale. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. This conservatively graded specimen is essentially blemish-free and can be identified by a small stain between the T in UNITED and the reverse border.

A second example of this scarce transitional Cent pattern. The streaky chocolate-brown patina is attractive. There is a faint pinscratch on the forehead, and another below the chin. A sharply detailed and lightly circulated example.
