1858 P1 Cent PC-7 SPECIMEN 66 Red PCGS.
Beautiful copper-orange color with mirrored fields and a flawless strike. This is the adopted design struck in cupro-nickel alloy. As the 1858 is seldom seen in Gem Uncirculated condition, this coin is coveted by all serious Large Cent collectors. Possibly the finest example known of this rare issue.

1859 1 Cent Double-Punched 9, Type 2 MS64 Red and Brown PCGS.
Even though the obverse is nearly full red, this secondary color designation will make this coin affordable to the Choice copper collector. Only one coin has been certified finer by PCGS.

1888 1 Cent MS64 Red and Brown PCGS.
Champagne patina with a two small obverse carbon spots. There is virtually no brown color on this coin and it would not cause undue concern with the Red designation. Undoubtedly from the Baldwin hoard, as are most of the known Red examples. Because of the quality of the coins in the Baldwin group, this is the most available Victoria Large Cent in Choice and finer conditions.

1891 1 Cent Small Date, Small Leaves MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. Obverse 2, MS63 Red and Brown ICCS.
Medium brown centers with considerate golden-red color around the peripheries. PCGS has certified several pieces in MS64 Red and Brown, but only one piece finer.

1892 1 Cent MS64 Red and Brown PCGS.
Boldly struck with noticeable prooflike surfaces. Not quite as much red color as the previous coin, but this is more than made up for by the nicely mirrored fields.

1913 1 Cent MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. MS65 Red ICCS.
The reverse exhibits full mint red color, while the obverse displays a blend of gold, red, and reddish-brown patina. This piece could have easily been classified as Red. Only one Red and Brown coin has been certified finer by PCGS.

1891 5 Cent MS64 PCGS. MS64 ICCS.
Full luster with a sharp strike and a dusting of pink and golden toning. Five Cent coins in the 1890s are normally well struck and quite desirable in higher grades. This coin is no exception.

1893 5 Cent MS64 PCGS. Repunched 9, MS64 ICCS.

1894 5 Cent MS64 PCGS. MS64 ICCS.
Bright, lustrous centers with a touch of golden toning and a band of russet peripheral toning on both the obverse and reverse. The smallest mintage of the decade and a very elusive issue in grades of MS64 and above. This coin appears nicer than the assigned grade and the interested collector should view it carefully.

1900 5 Cent Narrow O, MS65 PCGS.

1903-H 5 Cent Large H, MS65 PCGS.
Deeply toned in a blend of russet and cobalt-blue with golden highlights. The strike is average for the issue and the surfaces free of significant marks. For some reason, PCGS does not distinguish between the two varieties issued by the Heaton Mint in 1903. The Large H variety is significantly scarcer than the Small H, and no examples of either variety have been certified finer by PCGS.

1858 10 Cent 8/5, AU55 PCGS. AU50 ICCS.
Considerable remaining luster with just the slightest trace of friction and nice definition. The underdigit is bold, and easily seen, and this example sits firmly in the condition census of this rare issue. A variety that has recently gained more prominence than most other important rarities. We feel this coin will continue to grow in popularity as the true rarity becomes better known. PCGS has certified only 2 coins higher and only one Mint State example.

1880-H 10 Cent MS64 PCGS.

1881-H 10 Cent MS65 PCGS.
Mottled russet and gold toning with full underlying luster and near-flawless surfaces. A couple of coins surfaced in the past 10 years to take this coin from the excessively rare category to merely the extremely rare category. You will go a long time without finding a third coin to equal the two known Gems. One piece has been certified finer by PCGS.

1882-H 10 Cent MS64 PCGS.
Bright, fully lustrous, and well struck with noticeably reflective surfaces. The Uncirculated Heaton dates of Victoria 10 Cents are generally very attractive and the heavy luster makes these dates very desirable in either a toned or brilliant state. Very underrated in MS64 and finer conditions. PCGS has certified only 2 examples finer.

1883-H 10 Cent MS65 PCGS.
Ex: Norweb Collection. Lustrous and white with just a hint of golden patina and a near-perfect strike. This piece is a good choice for even the "picky" type collector. Only two pieces exist better than this wonderful example.
(PCGS# 31340)
Auction 312

1884 10 Cent MS62 PCGS.
Bright, with light golden color. There is slight softness on the NA of CANADA and on the Crown on the reverse. The 1884 dime was the first struck by the London Mint after a hiatus of 13 years. This is one of the rarest dates in the entire Victorian dime series. This piece definitely has the appearance of a higher graded coin. Only one Gem and four total coins have been graded higher by PCGS.

1890-H 10 Cent MS64 PCGS.
Streaky reddish-brown and steel-gray toning with well developed features and few marks for the grade. PCGS has certified only three coins finer than this piece. An undervalued and underappreciated date in this Choice Uncirculated condition.

1905 10 Cent MS63 PCGS.
Bright and fully lustrous with light golden obverse toning and a white reverse. As with many areas in the Belzberg collection, to complete a Mint State series you may need to think less than Gem condition on many dates, including this one. Five pieces have been certified finer by PCGS.

1900 25 Cent MS64 PCGS.
Fully struck with satiny surfaces and light golden toning. This piece is only a hair away from inclusion in the Gem category. Easily the most available Victoria Quarter in Mint State, but very scarce in Choice and finer conditions with only three pieces certified finer than MS64 by PCGS.

Auction 312

1901 25 Cent MS65 PCGS.
Bright frosty centers with light russet peripheral toning. A visually appealing example with a few tiny marks on Victoria's face that prevent an even higher grade. This was the last year coins were struck bearing the portrait of this classic monarch. It seems that this issue should be more available, but only three pieces have been certified in Gem condition by PCGS and only one piece finer than MS65.

1913 25 Cent MS64 PCGS.
Light golden toning with full mint frost and a few tiny marks in the left obverse field that prevent this piece from being included in the Gem category. Even though this delightful coin falls short of being called a Gem, it is one of the finer examples extant and a coin to fit in any collection. Only one piece has been certified finer by PCGS.

Auction 312

1916 25 Cent MS65 PCGS.
Frosty white with a trace of golden toning. We feel that this issue is the most undervalued date in the George V series. Only one example has been certified finer by PCGS.

Auction 312
| Lot: 15427 | Jan 13, 2003

1920 25 Cent MS65 PCGS.
Pure white with glistening luster and a well above average strike for the issue. A very difficult date to find fully struck. The 1920 and 1921 25 Cent are the only two coins in the series that don't generally come well struck. Much scarcer than one might imagine with only one coin certified higher by PCGS.

1930 25 Cent MS65 PCGS.
The luster is bright and the strike decent with a dab of golden toning. 1930, 31, 32, and 1934 quarters are the difficult coins to find in the 30s, with only 15 total coins graded in MS65 or better for all dates. These coins have been overlooked in the rarity scale and trends don't represent the actual rarities or values. There is only one coin certified finer by PCGS.
