Josh Hendizadeh Joins Heritage Auctions As Timepieces Consignment Director

Industry veteran will be based in Heritage’s Beverly Hills office

Josh Hendizadeh
DALLAS, Texas (October 2, 2024) — Heritage Auctions is proud to welcome Josh Hendizadeh as a Consignment Director in its Timepieces department.

Hendizadeh is a veteran of the timepieces community and the auction business, with experience as an Authentication Specialist of vintage, neo-vintage and modern wristwatches for Bezel in Santa Monica, California and a Watch Specialist at Rago/Wright Auction House in Chicago, where he wrote catalog essays and entries, sourced and evaluated timepieces and helped develop a long-term sourcing process for Wright.

“I am delighted to have Josh on the Heritage timepiece’s team,” says Jim Wolf, Director of Watches and Fine Timepieces at Heritage Auctions. “His passion for watches is clear through his involvement with the Instagram community of collectors and the LA red bar group. Josh’s reputation in the watch community and his enthusiasm will be a great asset for us as we further expand Heritage’s reach throughout the extensive community of timepieces collectors up and down the West Coast.”

Hendizadeh has a deep passion for watches, from the Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso to the Philippe Dufour’s Duality. A vintage watch collector for years, he recently expanded his collection by adding select modern pieces. He left his budding real estate career when the opportunity arose to open and curate a watch department for the Rago/Wright Auction House in Chicago before moving to California to join the team at Bezel. Hendizadeh also has written extensively for Watchonista, a website dedicated to covering the world of high-end watch making.

“I am honored and excited to join Heritage’s Timepieces Department and bring my expertise to the team,” says Hendizadeh. “Heritage’s reputation of bringing honest and incredible fresh-to-market watches is known throughout the industry. I look forward to working with the Heritage team and clients to continue this tradition and bring the best watches to auction.”

Hendizadeh will be based in Heritage’s Beverly Hills office. He can be reached at 310-492-8610, or via e-mail at JoshH@HA.com.
