Heritage Launches Sunday Action Figures & Toys Select Extended Bidding Auctions
|
The new weekly auction will feature the same variety of toys offered in Heritage’s monthly Showcase auctions. Collectors can look forward to offerings from some of the hobby’s most popular lines, including Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Aurora Models, and more. Featured items in the first Sunday Action Figures & Toys Select Extended Bidding Auction May 31 will include modern Star Wars collectibles such as The Mandalorian Moff Gideon TMS107 & Dark Trooper TMS032 Figures and C-3PO & R2-D2 Vinyl Sofubi Figures as well as classic pieces like this five-piece lot of G.I. Joe Carded Figures with International Variants dating from 1989–’91. The additional opportunities for buyers and consignors will help fulfill the expanding demand for collectible toys among adults, who now account for roughly a quarter of all toy sales and represent the fastest-growing segment of consumers in some markets. “The collectibles market isn’t just growing — it’s maturing into a powerful cultural and financial force,” says Justin Caravoulias, Consignment Director of Action Figures and Toys at Heritage Auctions. “Nowhere is that more evident than in toys, where nostalgia, rarity and storytelling converge to transform childhood artifacts into serious assets. What was once play is now legacy, and the demand shows no signs of slowing.” Heritage Auctions is the largest fine art and collectibles auction house founded in the United States, and the world's largest collectibles auctioneer.
